The Key Laboratory of Integrated Optoelectronics was established in 1987 and after passing the acceptance standard, opened to the outside world in January 1991. After more than ten years of development, the laboratory developed into the main domestic research base in optoelectronic materials and devices and its application technology in optical fiber communication and network. It has achieved outstanding results in a number of important research fields, has produced a certain amount of international influence, and has trained a large number of research personnel for the research unit and enterprises.
