On September 29，2020 the Tsinghua University - Guangdong OPPO Mobile Telecommunications Corp.,Ltd. Joint Research Center for Future Terminal Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "Joint Research Center") was inaugurated at the Information Building of Tsinghua University. Zheng Li, Vice President of Tsinghua University, and Liu Jun, Senior Vice President of OPPO, jointly inaugurated the joint research center. More than 50 people including Academician Dai Qionghai, Director of the Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, Ding Guiguang, Director of the Joint Research Center, and Liu Chang, Vice President of OPPO and President of the Research Institute attended the event.

In his speech, Zheng Li expressed the university's strong support for cooperation with OPPO in the field of mobile terminal technology. The Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology is in the vanguard of information technology and cross-technology innovation at Tsinghua University, and will provide strong support and assurance for the construction and development of the joint research center. Zheng Li expected Tsinghua University and OPPO to achieve breakthroughs in scientific research cooperation early, so as to enhance the level of their industrial technology and global influence in related fields.

Liu Jun, Senior Vice President of OPPO, presented OPPO's development highlights, thinking about innovation and future plans, and expressed the hope that the two sides would work together towards the future and carry out scientific research cooperation and talent cultivation in the fields of information technology, interaction, big health, and design.

Dai Qionghai said that the establishment of the joint research center would promote the application of mobile terminals in pathological examination, microscopy, human-computer interaction and many other fields. The staff of both sides should build on past achievements and strive for new progress, make solid efforts in scientific research on intelligent terminals, and contribute to industrial technology innovation.
