On December 13, 2020 the Tsinghua Young Scholars Forum on Information Science and Technology, sponsored by the School of Information Science and Technology, Tsinghua University and the Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology, was held at the Sinopec Conference Center. More than 100 people, including Zheng Li, Vice President of Tsinghua University, members of the Party and Government Joint Meeting of the School of Information Science and Technology, members of the Meeting of Directors of the Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology, and young and middle-aged teachers from the School of Information Science and Technology, attended the meeting.

On the morning of December 13, the plenary session and thematic sessions of the forum were conducted, and a roundtable meeting on the development of young scholars was held. Zheng Li, together with Jin Depeng, Head of the Party Work Leading Group at the School of Information Science and Technology, Wang Yu, Head of the Department of Electronics, Liu Yiqun, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Department of Computer Science, Zhang Zuo, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Department of automation, Wang Bin, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Software, and Yin Shou, Deputy Head of the Department of Microelectronics & Nanoelectronics, attended the roundtable meeting on the development of young scholars as guests.

Zheng Li introduced the working idea of the individualized development of school teachers, and pointed out that the management of teachers by series is an important measure for the reform of the school personnel system.

Academician Dai Qionghai, President of the School of Information Science and Technology and Director of the Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology, and Academician Wang Xiaoyun, Deputy Director of the Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology, respectively delivered speeches entitled "Let’s start with 'Birds and Frogs'" and " Cutting-Edge Advances in Cryptography and Blockchain" at the plenary session.

At the thematic sessions, Liu Yiqun, Tao Xiaoming, Wang Xiaowo and Li Dan shared hot trends in the development of science and technology and innovations in their respective fields.

On the afternoon of December 13, the annual exchange of the Youth Innovation Fund of the Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology, comprised of three parallel sessions, was held. At the exchange, briefings and exchanges were held for 10 ongoing research projects and 17 start-up projects, and poster presentations were held for 21 ongoing research projects.
