Research Overview

The research mainly focuses on issues of 3D representation, automated checking, and intelligent design in basic industrial software. Breakthroughs have been achieved in cross-modal checking and generation between 3D models and natural language specifications, as well as 3D structured reconstruction of point clouds in the engineering construction field. Multiple papers have been published in important international conferences and journals, leading to the development of tools such as the CBIMS "ModelChecker" intelligent checking software and "ModelFun" intelligent modeling software. These technologies have been applied effectively by construction authorities in major Chinese cities including Shenzhen, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Chengdu, as well as by numerous enterprises and institutions in the construction, transportation, and power industries, receiving multiple domestic and international awards. As the main technical lead, the researcher has compiled the GB/T 36456.1-3 "Shared Information Model for Engineering Domain" series and GB/T 45393.1-5 "Information Technology – Building Information Modeling (BIM) Software" series national standards.
